The Crew open their schedule in the Adidas Beaverton Cup today. They play in a 4 team division where the top two teams after round-robin play advance to the final on Sunday.

The Crew will have an entirely different look in the upcoming U12 season. Players that have been with the Crew since its inception have finally accepted well-deserved invitations to WSA premiere clubs. To fill the vacuum, Mike Ryan accepted the position of head coach of the Crew and is assembling his coaching staff and team. The Crew will announce its practice schedule and tentative tournament commitments soon.

The Crew won their 5th straight game in the spring indoor season on Saturday. This time they gave their opponent a glimmer of hope of winning until the Crew unleashed a 5 goal outburst in the final 10 minutes of the game.

The Crew played short-handed for the early part of the first half, waiting for some of their teammates to arrive. That didn’t stop them from scoring in the 2nd minute of the game to take a 1-nil lead. The opponent held the Crew scoreless for 9 minutes and scored with 12 minutes remaining in the half to tie 1-1. It looked like it would be an even contest for a while but as the Crew teammates began to arrive and rotate in to play the scoring machine started to crank up. With 8 minutes left Ryan fed Justin a pass that he converted for goal. Two minutes later Jorge passed to Jonathan who passed to Justin who scored again. With 2 minutes left CJ scored to give the Crew a 4-1 lead at the half.
It was all Crew in the second half. Ryan popped a pass to Jorge who headed in a goal 3 minutes into the half. Justing led CJ with a pass and CJ scored with 12 minutes left. Justin assisted on another goal by Ian 2 minutes later. CJ scored unassisted with 10 minutes left. Shortly after that Ryan started another run, passed to Clayton who crossed to Cameron and Cameron finished for goal. With 4 minutes left Ryan crossed to Clayton who scored.

The fireworks started early when Ryan took a pass in the air and lobbed a rainbow pass to Colton who took the pass in the air and shot over the keeper. Jonathan fed Deivid a pass and Deivid converted the pass for a goal. Deivid scored unassisted and the Crew led 3-nil in the first 4 minutes. The Crew gave up a goal and then ran off 3 more of their own. Deivid scored unassisted from the top of the circle. Ryan attempted a cross but it deflected off a defender into the net. Somewhere along the line the Crew scored another but gave up one with 22 seconds left and led 6-2.
It was more of the same in the second half. Jorge fed Jonathan a pass that he converted for a goal. United got a break and scored after two rebounds. Jorge scored unassisted shortly after. Colton assisted on another goal by Jonathan. Colton and Jonathan assisted on another goal by Jorge. United managed another goal but Jonathan wrapped up the scoring at the buzzer and the Crew won 11-4.
The Crew are clearly more skilled than the teams in the league and are mis-matched against their opponents.

Game 2 was no contest for the Crew. They dominated the entire game and won by a 10-1 margin.
